Nicholas Nylands rope, Carolina Silvas performance box, and Calders Eagle

And you should be aware. Therefore I am here to inform you that

1. Tonight is art walk in Pioneer Square! A show that looks particularly interesting is the glass show at Lawrimore Project curated by Eli Hansen, titled There's One Thing That Has Always Bothered Me About You—which is a good thing since art and glass are famously, singularly bothered by each other in the Northwest. Artists are Rebecca Chernow (the widening gyre!), Sam McMillen, Courtney Branam, and Darin Denison.

2. The contemporary summer installations at the Olympic Sculpture Park open Sunday! They're by Seattle artists Nicholas Nyland, Gretchen Bennett, and Carolina Silva, and they include performative elements as well as standalone objects scattered throughout the park, some down in the weeds.

3. Vancouver, B.C., is having its first-ever international contemporary art fair this weekend; I'll check it out and report back. Vancouver is a notoriously non-commercial city, and art fairs are slimy money pits, so what will this be like? The Fair's URL is artaftermoney.com.

4. This is your last chance to see Nick Cave's soundsuits at SAM (closing June 5). GO.
