I'm not exactly sure who hedge fund manager David Einhorn is, but apparently people with oodles of money are, so when he suggested today that Microsoft should fire CEO Steve Ballmer, it sent the financial blogs all atwitter.

Einhorn thinks CEO Steve Ballmer‘s “continued presence is the biggest overhang on Microsoft stock,” and he told the audience that he was calling upon Microsoft’s board to fire Ballmer. “He’s stuck in the past,” said Einhorn.

Einhorn, whose company owns 9.07 million shares of Microsoft stock, accused the Redmond software giant of suffering from "Charlie Brown management."
