First there was "Pole Dancing for Jesus" in Houston, Texas:

"God gives us these bodies and they are suppose to be our temples and we are suppose to take care of them and that's what we are doing," instructor Crystal Dean said.

Booth was raised in church. Now, the pole is her temple.

"I do feel a spiritual connection whenever you have the music on and it's singing about lifting you up and being closer to God. You do feel that," she said.

Now a dance studio in England is teaching pole dancing to children:

A dance school has been criticised for offering pole-dancing lessons to children as young as 12.

The Art of Dance pole dance and burlesque school in Plymouth, Devon, has been accused of teaching children to 'parade like strippers'.

But it insists that the classes are simply aimed at making the youngsters fitter and stronger.

What this means: Pole dancing is over. I guess people don't find it sexy anymore—because once Christians are doing it for worship purposes and children are doing it for exercise, it's jumped from "sexy" into some other cultural category.

And exercise fads are always doomed. (Tai-Bo, anyone? Have you Jazzercised lately?) Ergo, say goodbye to pole dancing.

What'll be the new strip-club paradigm?
