Newt Gingrich Apologizes to Paul Ryan

Posted by on Tue, May 17, 2011 at 4:13 PM

Politico says:

Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich apologized in a telephone call to House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) on Tuesday afternoon for his remarks on “Meet the Press,” where the presidential candidate referred to Ryan’s Medicare proposal as “radical change.”

“Newt apologized,” said Rick Tyler, his press secretary and longtime aide. “The call went very well.”

Doesn't look very presidential, does it? Newt Blingrich is having a stellar first week as a candidate.

Meanwhile, Mitt Romney continues his plan of shutting the fuck up until it comes time for the primaries. At this rate, he'll grab the nomination without breaking a sweat.

I suppose it's perversely appropriate that Newt should have to apologize for the one thing he ever got even kinda right in order to get back in the good graces of his party. You can't have anyone in a gang of psychopaths show even the slightest compunction or it starts to highlight just how fucked up the rest of 'em are.

What a useless simp.

"I apologize for actually being right for once. It will never happen again."

I'm getting kinda worried that if Newt continues this run of bad luck and fuck-ups, people will start to feel sorry for him and it'll actually work in his favor.

Poor Newt doesn't realize he will never be president. Reagan and Nixon were political has-beens who made a comeback but Newt doesn't have Reagan's charm or Nixon's cunning.

Mitt looks like a shoo-in, but the wingnuts (aka "the base") will either stay home, or go for one of their darlings running as a third party candidate. Leading to the best right-winger winning in 2012: Obama.
