Did he get his doctorate at George Rekers' Christian Family College?

I heard about this last week. I think it coincides with the new release of a book about bin Laden.

Either this is just happenstance, or there is a God and he LOVES Obama.

Perfect for Outhouse Date.

Also, please note that it's Jerome R. Corsi. Not Jerome Q. Corsi, that hack.

He's already updated his argument, and uses ridiculously lame arguments to pick apart the long-form birth certificate that was released, assuming that typing and stamping errors are the clear result of fraud. Because if you were preparing a fake birth certificate, you would be sure to include items that looked suspicious.

It's no use trying to convince the GOP of their break with reality-- They are insane, they have doubled down their insanity, and nothing will distract them from it.

Interesting living in a country where a large portion have gone bonkers. Welcome to Germany '35.

@1:

I was thinking Glenn Beck University.

The upside of letting this go for so long is that the people that ran with this for so long have no way back from their position.

It's not like this is a recent story with some ambiguous information, it's crazy talk in full-on book form stretched over two years.

If John Kerry had walked up to this scumbag during his campaign and slapped him across his lying face for that Swift Boat bullshit he would have won the election.

Who's the publisher? Regnery or something?
Posted by seatackled on May 6, 2011 at 6:45 PM
Paul Constant 11
@7: Nope. As a Glenn Beck Alumni, I can tell you I didn't see Jerome Corsi on campus.

@10: WND Books, a division of World Net Daily, is the publisher.

Compost pit. The dustwrapper is coated, you'll probably have to throw that away, but the rest can feed worms just fine.

Imagine if they lost so much money on this abortion of a book that it actually hurt them. Yeah fat chance I know, but that would be something worth reading, unlike this thing.

Matt from Denver 17
Unfortunately, Corsi got his PhD from Harvard. This is according to wikipedia. (Then again, Bush got his business degree there, too, and around the same time. Maybe it's time people stopped regarding Harvard so highly...)

@16 and 17:

It won't hurt Corsi to lose money. Here's what else Wikipedia sez:

In 1995 Corsi helped launch a mutual fund to invest in formerly Communist Poland after the fall of the Soviet Union, which eventually lost $1.2 million, much of it from a group of about 20 Minnesota investors.[12][13] The FBI found no basis for bringing criminal charges.[12] Some of the investors blamed the organizers, including Corsi, for their investment in the former Communist country. Two investors sued Corsi and his partners on the basis that the organizers had given their personal guarantee backing up the investment, and won judgments against them.[12] They did not collect from Corsi because, as one investor claimed, the money "had been moved into his wife's name ... There was nothing to get out of him."[12]

@6, take heart, the number of birthers has actually dropped dramatically! http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/behi…

Yes, it is ridiculous fucking bullshit that Obama actually had to show his long-form birth certificate to these idiots. BUT, maybe things are getting better?

I know this is a pretty silly question and all, but I gotta ask... you gonna read/review it? I mean, I gotta admit to genuine curiosity as to how it is that they took one silly conspiracy theory that could surely be summarized (w/ all supporting evidence & testimony) in a typical blog post (or feature length magazine article, at best) and stretched it into a full length book. I bet there's a lot of pictures.

On a semi-related note, didn't you subject yourself to a slog poll related to the review of the new Sarah Palin book at some point a little while ago?

Where is the 'science' in 'political science'? Do they use the scientific method? Seems to me that getting a degree in political science is about the same as getting a degree in bullshitting. And a PhD in political science about the same as getting a degree in 'world class bullshitting'

Agreed! I know it's not the point, but DAMN! What kind of Art Director lets a book go to print with typography looking like that? The kerning alone almost lost me my breakfast.
