The first game in the Vancouver/Nashville series was BRUTAL. The Canucks won 1-0 and the only reason Nashville wasn't completely obliterated was because their goalie, Pekka Rinne, is a puck-eating beast. I've never seen so many impressive saves in one game. I am so in love with Pekka Rinne right now, but the rest of the Predators better get it together for game two (and three and four and five and so on).

And that hit against Tootoo? I mean, I won't complain when Nashville gets to go on the power play (not that they know what to do with one anyway), but that seemed like a legit hit to me. Fly, Tootoo, fly!

If Nashville keeps playing the way they did last night, you Vancouver-loving Sloggers just might get your wish for a Canuck victory. But I will not count the Preds out yet—they're allowed a rough game. After all, they started picking things back up in the third period, and Shea Weber started taking some shots. Finally. Did you know Shea Weber once shot the puck THROUGH THE NET? It's true. This series has just begun.

In other Nashville news, their coach Barry Trotz was nominated for the Jack Adams Trophy. Yay!

There are two games tonight: Tampa Bay Lightning vs Washington Capitals and Detroit Red Wings vs San Jose Sharks.

I want to see the Caps and the Sharks win. How about you?
