Texas moves to strip transgendered people of marriage rights. In Texas, under the law, you're stuck with the gender assigned to you at birth. And if you're born with ambiguous genitalia and the doctor and your parents guess incorrectly—if they pick boy when you're actually a girl—and later in life you go back and get your birth certificate corrected to reflect your actual gender? Too bad for you. You can't get married in Texas—well, you can't get married to a man. If you're stuck with the gender you were assigned at birth... I guess that means that gay trans men can gay marry men and lesbian trans women can gay marry women.

Coming soon to Texas: a bill to make it illegal for trans people to marry anyone, ever.
