On Tuesday, Vancouver blew their chances at sweeping their series against the Blackhawks by losing the fourth game 7-2. At one point there were five Canucks in the penalty box, it was clear they were frustrated and getting their asses kicked physically and mentally, and it was just embarrassing.

So, obviously, last night's game was going to be quite telling about how the rest of the series could go—did the big Blackhawks' win give the team motivation to dig themselves out of a hole? Or was Vancouver just getting a little lazy because they could afford to lose a game? And maybe they wanted to clinch the series at home!

Did they win the series, then, back in their own territory? NO, actually. THEY LOST 5-0, despite the fact that nearly 60% of Slog's hockey fans seemed to think they were going to win.

What's going on with the Vancouver Canucks? These games are just giving the Blackhawks more momentum. Thankfully, both teams now have two days off, so maybe that break will be enough to allow the Canucks to regroup and come back strong. (Read: GET YOUR POOP IN A GROUP, VANCOUVER.)

In other "What the hell?" news: The Sharks beat the Kings 6-3 last night, so now they're up 3-1 in the series. One more game like that and the Kings are out. GOOD. The Bruins also won last night, 5-4 in overtime. The series is tied 2-2. NAIL BITER.

As for tonight's games: GO NASHVILLE! (By the way, Ruutu got a one-game suspension for his hit against Erat.) And Flyers, I guess? I don't have a preference in this series, but it'd be cool to see the Flyers win and maybe Sidney Crosby will be able to come back in the next round? DUH. Crosby plays for the Penguins. I knew that. I watched that HBO documentary.

Still, though, there's no word on when he'll be back on the ice.
