Theater / Dance Velocity Dance Center Announces Its New Executive Director: Tonya Lockyer

For some reason, I wasn't expecting that—I am more familiar with Lockyer as an artist than as an administrator—but it sounds promising. She does, as the press release says, have "deep ties" to the Seattle dance scene, has worked as a dancer for many years, and also has had an off-and-on working relationship with Velocity for many years.
Sounds like a good fit. Congratulations Tonya and congratulations Velocity. May your union be long and happy.
