Wisconsin Democrats have announced that they would be filing sufficient recall signatures today against a fourth Republican state senator, taking them one step closer toward flipping control of the state senate, currently a 19-14 GOP majority.

Think about that. A recall requires collecting signatures equal to 25 percent of the total votes cast in the prior gubernatorial election, over a mere 60 day period, a high threshold that has led to only four recall elections since Wisconsin achieved statehood in 1848. Yet Democrats have already doubled that number in less than two months. Exciting.

And I look forward to similar excitement here in Washington state should Rob McKenna win the governor's mansion in 2012, and attempt to pay back his teabagger base.
