Rick Santorum made a name for himself with that man-on-dog interview he gave the AP back in 2003. Now he's opening up about his dog-on-man experience. Knocking on doors during his first run for Congress, Santorum accepted a woman's invitation to come inside and have a drink.

He told the crowd that at the woman’s direction, he sat down on her couch. As soon as he sat down on the couch, her dog jumped on his lap. And not long after the dog jumped into his lap, the former senator felt the warm, wet sensation of the pet urinating on his pants. Confronted with the choice of ending his trek through the neighborhood, or continuing on with a large wet spot on his pants, Santorum said he made—for him—the obvious choice. “You’ve all been there,” said to the crowd. “Tan pants, with a spot, and what do you do? Soldier on.”

"If I were him I'm not sure if I would want to add dog urine to the list of things associated with my name," says Slog tipper Kim.
