Anybody know what that thing in fact is? I'm guessing a huge hunk of driftwood.

I agree with Ms Pixel. Stuff like this scream viral marketing to me. Why would this video only be 15 seconds long otherwise?

Wow, that trailer looks terrible. Googling "Bournemouth Incident" brings up lots of hits on actual incidents in the actual Bournemouth (plane crashes, Christian Bale being naughty) but little about this supposed film. I did find a site where one of the main actors is described as "the voice of descent", which doesn't instill me with optimism: http://www.mariaburns.com/Site/Behind_th…

Holy Mother of Godzilla....it's one of HER eggs!

Yup, it's obvious to any trained paleoarcheologist, the Godzilla Egg exists!

I just hope it doesn't hatch here!!?!

I was SO waiting for it to suddenly move, and make a grab at that kid's foot. Dammit for short videos!

@1 - Yeah, looks like a large piece of ornamental wood, from a ship perhaps? Or just a round chunk from a lumber barge? I doubt any debris from Japan has made it to the West Coast already.

@11, debris from Japan has been washing up on our shores for thousands of years, what do you mean? Oh, yeah, that.

It's a movie prop. My link shows a pic of the modelers who made it.

I don't care that it's fake, it freaked me the fuck out. I love walking the beach, especially after a storm, and I do scream now and then when I run across something I don't recognize.

When she kicked it with her little pink shoe I about wet myself.

It looks like a large chunk of roof insulation that's been weathered a long time by the sea. It kind of looks to old and weathered to be from Japan's tsunami.
