Chow Shut Down!

...by the health department: the reportedly neat-o Maruta Shoten in Georgetown (to-go sushi with a store that's like a much smaller, noticeably cheaper Uwajimaya).

The reason: the dreaded "Ongoing foodborne illness outbreak." Yikes.

(Meanwhile, 663 Bistro is back in business—Goldy, Seattle Metropolitan, and Tom Douglas [a.k.a. T-Doug], rejoice!)

How can one know if the deli food was not consumed within the safety limits for perishables?

Jesus... we get sushi bento from Maruta all the time. All my favorite places are getting shut down by the health department. Huh. What does that say about me?

Correct me if im wrong, but it sounds like the stranger staff cant tell a cesspool from a fertile garden when it comes to choosing restaurants to have lunch at.
