As you have probably heard, President Obama has decided he and his Justice Department will not defend DOMA—The Defense of Marriage Act—signed into law in 1996 by former President Bill Clinton.
The Federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) defines marriage as a legal union between one man and one woman for purposes of all federal laws, and provides that states need not recognize a marriage from another state if it is between persons of the same sex.
What has disturbed me even more than the President’s statement is the silence of the Christian community. So, I have put together a coalition of national leaders to quickly develop a strategic plan to ensure DOMA is upheld as the law of the land.
You are a critical part of this strategy; so to begin with, please tune into Dr. James Dobson’s radio broadcasts MyFamilyTalk.com on March 28 and 29 to learn how you can impact the future of traditional marriage in America.
