2012 / Homo Newt Gingrich Funneled $350,000 to Anti-Gay Groups

ThinkProgress is reporting that Newt Gingrich secretly gave $350,000 to anti-gay groups including AFA Action:
Last year, former Speaker Newt Gingrich offered his vocal support for the ultimately successful campaign to oust three of the nine Iowa Supreme Court justices who had unanimously ruled in favor of marriage equality. As Gingrich courts social conservatives while exploring a possible presidential bid, new disclosures from his camp indicate that he and his associates bankrolled more than one-third of the $850,000 campaign to remove the Iowa justices...AFA is not only of the nation’s most prominent anti-LGBT groups, it has been officially labeled a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. As ThinkProgress has reported, the AFA is known for making incendiary comments about gays, including blaming gays for crop failure and various other biblical plagues, claiming that Hitler was gay, saying lesbians can’t be justices, equating gay sex with domestic terrorism, and equating gay sex to heroin, just to cite a few examples.
You'd think someone who was so goddamned intent on preserving family values conservatism wouldn't have such a lurid history.

I don't really get the heroin thing. If I shot up heroin ten times, I'd be an addict, and do almost anything to get more. If I had gay sex ten times, I'd be horrified, and do almost anything to never have it again. The AFA may not have a good grasp of how either of these things work.

And, I've read, what Gingrich has done may not be exactly legal.

Gee, Constant, reading comprehension sure isn't your strong suit. The appropriate line would have read 'Newt Gingrich funnelled 350,000 to pro family groups.' (Anyway, you only mention one group, so the even more appropriate tagline would be to use the singular form rather than the plural.)
Also, what the Southern Poverty Law group thinks about much of anything is irrelevant to rational people, never mind their transparently politically motivated and extremely silly little hate group classifications.
I could as easily say that the Stranger is a hate group for spreading inciendiary lies about Republicans, lies about those defending morality and decency in this country, and lately irresponsible fear mongering about the situation in Japan. It would even have a benefit the SPL doesn't. It would be true.
We have marriage equality. Any man can marry any willing woman, be he gay or straight. Any woman can marry any willing man, whether she is lesbian or straight. Et voila, marriage equality.
Finally, arguing against public policy enabling sexual perversion and the dimunition of the family in America is not the same thing as being anti-gay. I for instance know very well that gays are engaged in a self destructive lifestyle of their own choosing, but would defend their right to destroy their own lives at their will. I also know that marriage is between a man and a woman. Only. Ever. Never will be anything else. The two don't conflict. Gays have the right to pursue their perversions with consenting adults. They do not have the right to force others to support that choice, or to destroy socially meaningful terms like marriage for their own self justification.

The SPLC is a cultural Marxist hate group. Japan is anti-gay marriage, so I guess they're a hateful country chalk-full (pun intended) of angry, white, Klan supporters.
