And retired boxer Rubin "Hurricane" Carter, who is the main character of a Bob Dylan song and who has also been portrayed by Denzel Washington in a film, will be at University Book Store tonight, reading from his book Eye of the Hurricane: My Path from Darkness to Freedom.

A Poet: Martha Silano reads at Open Books tonight. Her new collection The Little Office of the Immaculate Conception is a cosmologically minded book that tries to force the entire history of the universe between two covers.
