So, let me get this straight: some journalist actually took the time to make this segment. Really. Really?

This is almost as bad as the 1/2 special I once watched on the dangers of people not scooping ice properly at fast food places. No, really. Really.

@1 yes, a journalist did do this. And honestly? It was fucking adorable. It made me smile- especially the end when they showed clips of him waddling with the blanket dragging between his legs.

Every once in a while stuff like this is important- if for no other reason than it giving your brain a break from all the anxiety and sadness in the world.

Thank you Lindy for showing this- it made my night. Now back to reading about Wisconsin and the Middle East.

That's a cat who loves his people. And really, better a stuffed animal than a disembowled mouse.

Remember that bird from England who stole all the Cheetos? This is way better than that.

There was a cat in Ballard/Phinney that stole gloves. Just gloves. There was a barrel out front full of the recovered gloves with a sign explaining the cat's thefts and an apology.

until we closed the cat door permanently, our cat (see my icon) brought back live rats.

at least they were typically babies.

Those night-vision clips are hilarious. Blanket, stegosaurus(?), bra ...

Also, is this seriously not a parody of a news clip? I don't watch tv news anymore pretty much solely because I can't stand the "reporter voice" ... it's just stupidly over dramatic.

@1, Don't be silly. Just because you aren't obsessed with cats and don't want to destroy every single one that you see with kisses until they hiss at you doesn't mean that everyone else feels that way. I mean, what?

If that cat video made you smile too much and you now need a bit of a frown:

Just couldn't resist that horrible little joke at the end, huh? Ugh.

I see this cat being on a "Nailed 'Em" segment of Colbert.

I loved it. My life is way to serious, and I need stuff like this to survive.

And what a handsome cat he is, too.

Laughed and laughed and laughed! The hokey reporting only makes it funnier!

If not for the night-video proof, I was ready to assume that the owner was stealing stuff and blaming it on the cat.

@4, 12,

Hey hey now. I myself am a huge fan of kitties - I just spent a good part of today in close proximity to one, with all the decline in intelligence and increase in inanity that implies. However, I do NOT think that television news programs need any help with inanity. Hence my objection.

Lindy, I love you so much except for this whole "cats" thing you do.

Watching this video really just makes me wonder, "Why don't these awful fucking people just keep their stupid cat indoors already? Do they just hate all their neighbors? And how much do their neighbors hate them by this point?"

No, no Dusty. You're supposed to go in their wallets and extract these green pieces of paper and little plastic cards. Then you get some Friskys.

@21 I wondered the same thing!

plus, indoor cats lead longer lives, not prone to being shot at by neighbors

Such a purrrfect post title. That's almost what I sounded like when I finished laughing at the end of the news clip.

Love it.

Aedan said it right... The news should do more stuff like this instead of the gloom and doom usually parading around...

Anyway, loved the video.

@ 22 FTW.

I also wonder why the neighbors are all amused. But, I guess they all also know by now to not leave stuff lying around.
