Once upon a time, I had nothing but love for and faith in Leonardo DiCaprio. His performances in What's Eating Gilbert Grape? and This Boy's Life suggested he was an unusually good actor. Maybe Titanic broke his brain. Maybe there's some acting equivalent of having your voice change that disrupted his path from good kid actor to good adult actor. Whatever the case, this past year I was made to watch both Shutter Island and Inception and both confirmed the fact that Leonardo DiCaprio is no longer a good actor, and is not even a very good movie star. He seems to be nothing but a scowl and a not-very-convincing voice. Truly, his current acting seems more "little kid playing dress-up" than any of his childhood acting ever did.

Also, in a perfect world, grown-up Leonardo DiCaprio wouldn't look like this. He'd look like this.
