Jim Brunner digs up the transcript of a 2009 Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing, at which Washington Senator Maria Cantwell heartily endorsed Seattle heiress Cynthia Stroum's bid to be the next U.S. ambassador to Luxembourg.

"I have known Cynthia for many years and I know that I can say this with experience, she will be an outstanding representative for our country," Cantwell said at the time.

Stroum had no diplomatic experience. She admitted at her confirmation hearing she hadn't been to Luxembourg.

What did Stroum have experience doing before all this happened? She'd raised about a half-million dollars for Obama and donated thousands to the campaigns of Cantwell and Senator Patty Murray.
