Celeb "Lindsay Lohan Quizzed About Missing Necklace"

I'd grouse about the headline's choice of verb* if the story weren't so sad:

The actress is at the center of a police investigation over a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry, which was allegedly stolen from Kamofie & Company in Venice, Calif.

Store surveillance footage from January 22 reportedly shows Lohan trying on the chain, worth $2,500, before it went missing, and shop owners later linked its disappearance to the actress after she was snapped out a week later wearing the unique design, according to TMZ.com.

Cops called off the hunt for the jewelry at Lohan's home on Tuesday when one of Lohan's associates turned the necklace over to authorities.

The case has been handed over to the LA District Attorney's Office and Lohan's meeting with her probation officer.

I had really thought there was a chance, albeit an outside one, that she could clean her act up. I guess I was wrong. She needs to do some real prison time (which she may get - this is grand theft).

Honestly, it won't happen. Jail time, that is.
She's permanently in her own little fantasy world where she's THE star, we're all desperately worshipping her, and everything she wants is free, she just has to take it.
Kids, take a lesson... drugs are bad, m'kay - but especially when compounded by two Mama Rose style parents who couldn't give two shits about their daughter except when the paychecks stop coming in.

Lindsay is such a class act. She was particularly talented in the latest of the "Debbie does Dallas" films.

She just moved to a place near me, and it's beginning to have a negative impact. Venice is typically a paparazzi-free safe zone. But, the paparazzi and drama have followed her here, clearly. There were news vans outside the store today. She has a large footprint.
