Today in Diving Board Comedy

Posted by on Wed, Jan 12, 2011 at 3:30 PM

Here's a question: WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO DIVING BOARD COMEDY? I can't think of one single stinking venue in town that will allow a good diving board comedian to perform at their club. THIS BLATANT DISCRIMINATION HAS GOT TO STOP. To show these club bookers what they're missing, here's a clip of the "King of Diving Board Comedy" Larry Griswold performing his absolutely hilarious and harrowing act on the Frank Sinatra Show back in 1951. Watch this... it will BLOW YOUR FREAKING MIND.

I was expecting a Fight Club-esque shot of Bieber spliced in there somewhere, but nope, it's clean. Good on you, Humphrey.

You know what happened to diving board comedy? Two things: The diving horse and the Triple Lindy.

Triple Lindy? -- 'doubt we could handle even a double Lindy around here!
