And it don't stop...

Omaha police spent Thursday grappling with the knowledge that the handgun used in a shooting rampage at Millard South belonged to one of their own.

The .40-caliber Glock semi-automatic handgun that Robert Butler Jr., 17, used to kill an assistant principal, wound two other staffers and kill himself came from his father's bedroom closet. Robert Butler Sr. is an Omaha police detective.

The Millard South shooting spurred an internal investigation by police to determine if changes to department policy are needed.

Changes to department policy? How about changes to social policy.
