Hidmo on Jackson Street is shutting down—the party to celebrate is tonight from 5 to midnight, with Gabriel Teodros spinning—but eventually it hopes to reopen as a tenant in Washington Hall. I'll miss the little Jackson Street space. The performances I've seen there, and the company I've kept, have been amazing, and have literally changed my life (I am not misusing the word literally). It was a little community center, and I dearly hope the Washington Hall plans don't go sideways. We need you, Rahwa and family!
