79% more legitimacy? Really? You mean even the stupidest of my stupid posts can make me look good? Well, maybe not good but better? Cool.

You know, I think there are a couple of people on SLOG that could use two of these badges.

I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just sayin'.

I tend to think of it as being part of the community. If you find value logging in and joining the discussion, making e-friends, venting/ranting your frustrations, expressing your opinion, or getting free sex advice, etc., then you have joined the Slog family. Families are local even when they aren't just down the street, because they reside in your heart as something you value. And, if you didn't find some value then you wouldn't spend your time here. So, I see value in supporting my neighbors to the north. Kind of a concrete way of saying thanks for the laughs and sharing. But, what do I know, money has always been just a tool to me. A tool one uses to make life better for everyone. Just my $0.02

I'll agree PayPal sucks. But, that is a whole other can of worms and, to me, a source of shame. Here's hoping you can find something else next year, Strangercrombie.

Sorry, to hear that the economy has treated you badly. I hope it turns around soon. Holidays are hard this year, and you've got a lovely family to rejoice over and celebrate with, I hope you all are richly blessed with love and wonderful memories.

Ps. I was only explaining as to why I participate. The community thang. Of course,"that donor tag totally gets you laid" is a perk, too. :) Shorter. Your reasons are valid, friend, and I hope you didn't think that I was judging them. If so, then I'm very sorry. :(
