Strangercrombie You Guys! Strangercrombie Is So Important This Year

It's true: Strangercrombie is important every year. But you have seen the looks on the faces of the freezing hobos and the miserable children this time around, right? I'm not kidding. It just feels like everybody's a little more desperate this year. I'm pretty much giving money to every Tom, Dick, and Rescue Mission that sends something to my mailbox. Would you consider checking out Strangercrombie? It's a great cause, AND you get great stuff you can't elsewhere. Win-win-win-win, or something (the fourth win is Baby Jesus).

The auction closes at 5 pm December 15—less than a week from now.

I can't help but point out an art package (tee hee): Meet Me at the Center of the Earth for a night at SAM and Hotel Max. Nick Cave is a terrific artist whose work I can't wait to see/hear/dance with in Seattle:

You'll get two passes to celebrate the opening of Cave's show, Meet Me at the Center of the Earth, at Seattle Art Museum's always sold-out Remix event, where there's dancing, performances, talks, and the chance to make your own art if you want to. Then, it's on to nearby Hotel Max for a night's stay at the luxury hotel that's a showplace in itself, featuring more than 350 original paintings and photographs throughout its lobby, rooms, and halls (and you get complimentary parking at the hotel, too). Rounding out the perfect night is $50 to spend at Delicatus, the Seattle delicatessen that features kick-ass sandwiches, small plates, and alcohol (tip not included). Imagine the dreams you'll have.
