The Chief Marketing Officer Speaks

Posted by on Tue, Nov 23, 2010 at 10:39 AM

...about French fries:

“Fries,” said Ken Calwell, the chief marketing officer at Wendy’s, “is something we hadn’t been a leader in, in the past.”

It's barely English!

Millions of dollars and huge amount of real live people's actual time and life is spent to figure this out:

"When something is really good, you don’t necessarily want to share it so easily"

"You want to be in places where people are getting hungry and they say, ‘Oh, that looks good"

"The company’s YouTube channel will feature an ad for the fries and the background of the Wendy’s Twitter account page will also feature art for the fries and a “Fry for All” app that lets users select a box of fries that they can post on their Facebook page so they can “share” fries with their friends."

Wendy's To Phase Out Unpopular Hamburger…

I've never been brave enough to eat at Wendy's, Arby's, Jack in the Box (especially after their "food" killed all those people) or any of the other third tier burger franchise chains.

#8 - Arby's doesn't actually serve burgers. They serve roast "beef" sammiches that are kinda disgusting. But I eat 'em once in a while.
