The former chairman of the Washington State Republican Party, Chris Vance, says he doesn't think so—and he makes it clear that any aura of invincibility that Senator Maria Cantwell now possesses comes, in part, from Senator Patty Murray's recent victory. As Vance told McClatchy:

A lot of people will say if you couldn't beat Murray in a Republican wave, what makes you think you can beat Cantwell?

Good question.
