We have a sold out reading by Billy Collins and several other events tonight.

Elsie Hulsizer is reading at Elliott Bay Book Company. Glaciers, Bears and Totems: Sailing in Search of the Real Southeast Alaska is a book that cannot help but make you think of Sarah Palin, with its use of the words "real" and "Alaska" in the title.

Nancy Brinker reads at Third Place Books. Promise Me: How a Sister's Love Launched the Global Movement to End Breast Cancer is a book by Brinker, who is "the leader of the global breast cancer movement."

Stephen L. Macknik and Susana Martinez-Conde read at Town Hall tonight. Their book Sleights of Mind: What the Nueroscience of Magic Reveals about our Everyday Deceptions is about how stage magic fucks with your head. I think this looks like an interesting one.

And Jacqueline Suskin reads at Pilot Books tonight. Suskin has a typewriter and she isn't afraid to use it. (By "use," I mean "write poetry on.")

The full readings calendar, including the next week or so, is here.
