This week nseattlite asked Questionland:

My Thanksgiving plans have fallen through, so I'm considering volunteering instead. Where are the local places one can do that on Thanksgiving (i.e. food banks, shelters, etc.)? I strongly prefer non-thiest organizations.

Eureka swooped in and gave a great answer (winning a mushroom from nseattlite, even!):

United Way of King County has some holiday opportunities with other local non-profits listed on their site http://www.uwkc.org/ways-to-volunteer/ Just click the orange snowflake icon. Or, if you want to volunteer in a shelter or soup kitchen, you can find listings to contact at http://www.scn.org/crisis/

Now both Eureka and nseattlite will be rewarded with a $25 gift certificate to Pagliacci Pizza! See what can happen when you put your time to good use and help others? You get free pizza!

Ask your own questions (or share answers) in Questionland! You might get food!

(Speaking of food and Questionland, it's still Thanksgiving week, where local bakers and chefs are answering everything you've ever wanted to know about preparing your Thanksgiving meals. Need some help with that stupid turkey that's taking up one third of your fridge? Or want to impress the boyfriend or girlfriend's family by making the best goddamn pie in the world? Questionland will help!)
