It's free, it's at Neumo's, the MC is Too Beautiful to Live's Luke Burbank, the doors open at 7 p.m., and the Patty Murray campaign says the musicians will be playing "your favorite folk songs."

I asked: What folks songs will be played?

John Roderick replied, via an e-mail thread that looped in all the other performers, that he'll be doing "Puff the Magic Dragon" and "King of Carrot Flowers," among other songs, and "might have a special guest."

Tomo Nakayama of Grand Hallway replied that he was thinking of doing "Strangers" by the Kinks. "Not really folk, but oh well," he said. "Anybody gonna do blowin in the wind???"

Troy Nelson of the Young Evils replied that he hopes doing folk covers is not mandatory "because we only know half of Skid Row's 'Youth Gone Wild.'" (They're planning on doing their own songs.)

Eric Anderson of Cataldo replied that his list of songs includes "This Year" by The Mountain Goats and "Bring It On Home to Me." ("Possibly amending some lyrics to say 'Patty.' We'll see.") He added:

Do you guys know "If I Had a Hammer"?

John Roderick replied to Tomo Nakayama that he had designs on "Blowing in the Wind," and added: "I think I'll have Dave Bazan join me."

Meanwhile, what's Dino Rossi doing tonight?

Holding a "Victory Rally"—which seems premature by at least one day—in Bellevue, with special guests Dave Reichert, Rob McKenna, and Reagan Dunn. None of them are scheduled to perform "Blowing in the Wind."
