The giant art spectacle Art Basel Miami Beach is coming up, December 2-5. Somebody asked me about it when I was giving a talk at Gage Academy of Art yesterday, so let me point you to a couple of things:

1. Here's what I wrote about it at the height of prosperity, and then after the crash.

2. Aqua's going back to its roots! After a few years in a warehouse space that never felt quite right, this year the fair, run by two Seattle artists, returns to the original hotel where it made its good name. Yay! Seattle and Seattle-connected galleries on the list of exhibitors are G. Gibson Gallery, Platform Gallery, and Garde Rail Gallery. (I miss Garde Rail.)

3. Nah, I'm not going. But if you've never been, you really should. It's more art than you'll ever see in one place again. Really.
