Hump HUMP! Tickets

Hey, remember when so many people were trying to buy HUMP! tickets this morning (lesson: people love porn) that all of The Stranger's mighty web servers (and then some) fell right over? That sucked.
Things are ship-shape now, and although some screenings have sold out, there are still some tickets left.
You can also see HUMP! (the same exact show) in Portland (Oregon) on 11/12 & 13. Get those PDX tickets here!

This question begs asking, seeing as how I'm in the cultural desert that is the Bible Belt - any chances of this show going on the road and somewhere other than the Pacific Northwest?

advice to Stranger's Web Guru - Host the storefront for Hump Tickets on a different server like Go Daddies for example. at least it can handle the big loads (no pun intended) :-p

Damn. I didn't buy tickets yesterday because I was sure my meeting scheduled for today was to tell me I'm fired and I wouldn't be able to afford the tickets. Then I finally find out I'm not fired, and all the good shows are sold out. What a terrible day this has been.

Buying these tickets was a nightmare! My boyfriend ended up with four extra tickets he didn't actually want, because every time he went to try and order, the screen timed out before it seemed the transaction had gone through. Several hours later, he received confirmation emails for three pairs of tickets, instead of the one pair he meant to buy. I hope these issues are worked out before next year.

I have to say that the lack of prior planning on the Stranger's part was appalling. You spend so much time and effort promoting Hump and telling people that it will sell out and you must buy tickets ASAP when they go on sale how can you not anticipate that there will be a crush of people trying to purchase tickets as soon as they are available. I burned over five hours hitting refresh yesterday, as did many others. Get it together, the festival grows every year (it even expanded to an entirely new city this year), prepare for the same thing next year please.

Thanks to these issues I wasn't able to get tix to Hump this year which is a total bummer. I guess I can watch for jacked up tix on craigslist which also sucks :(

For next year, I hope The Stranger will consider using a larger venue and a more robust ticketing system. I tried and tried for hours on Monday to buy tickets, only to find that my preferred showtimes were already sold out by the time I could finally access the site.
