Comedian James Adomian is at Balagan Theater (1117 E Pike) tonight at 8 pm. Adomian is totally brilliant—he's known for his impressions (of, for example, George W. Bush), but he's way more than a mimic. His stand-up is smart, layered, and slightly alarming, and his impersonations take characters we think we know in unexpected and subversive directions.

Adomian headlined Laff Hole a while back and blew everyone's mind up. You should go tonight.

Also on the bill: Solomon Georgio, Derek Sheen, and Mike Drucker.

And here's a clip of Adomian as drunk Orson Welles, which I must insist you watch. (It's a parody—or really more like a reenactment—of this, which you must also watch. Thank you for your cooperation.)

Update: Here's a neat little article that the Portland Mercury wrote about Adomian last week.
