Traffic Report

Posted by on Wed, Sep 1, 2010 at 4:39 PM

Seattle Times sez:

Traffic Alert | King County Metro buses are exiting I-5 at Spokane Street and running on surface arterials through downtown due to severe traffic on Northbound I-5 near the convention center.

We're getting unconfirmed reports of a jumper off the Olive overpass (photo unavailable).

UPDATE: Dear Grim Reaper: Please stop catching up to people within a block of my apartment building.

The one time that shot from your apartment would have been newsworthy.

In a bad patch of my youth I'd sometimes think about doing just that right there. So fucking sorry someone did it.

I believe it might have been a jumper. there were no cars other than cop cars surrounding a body covered by blankets. I drove by it about 20 minutes ago

It's probably someone with a green pepper.

Or a whittler.

Those guys are dangerous.

Asshole jumped into traffic and got run over. No doubt traumatizing a bunch of people that didn't deserve it.

What a fucker.

Westlake, son! 6
Anti-viaduct supporter? Proves that moving traffic off a unipath freeway to multiroute surface streets is awesome!

I was temping this afternoon in a building that overlooks I-5 and saw the body laying in middle of the far right lane of traffic. Emergency response was just arriving and you could tell traffic was going to back up forever.

Thank god you didn't get a photo. No one needs to see that. I feel for the drivers at the time of that incident. Geebus!

I guess the Aurora Bridge anti-jumper wall is working. CapHill is the new Fremont!
