...has replaced "rhythm" as the word I am physically unable to spell correctly without consulting anything.

I continue to have trouble with "restaurant" - as I have since the first round of the seventh grade spelling bee. My sympathies.

decision. i don't have to consult anything, i just have to write it slowly and triple check it because it always looks/feels wrong.

ridiculous. i always want to spell it RE-diculous.

Rhythm is my consistent spelling jinx...along with proper grammatical use of the theres and wheres.

@10, I regret to inform you that you've misspelled the rhythm in your hypothetical (mis)spelling of algorithm...

As for me, every damn time I go to spell the plural of potato, I get this flashback about Dan fucking Quayle's spelling bee incident and the extra E, and I have to ponder for a second whether I've added an E unnecessarily to potatoes...

rhythm will always be the toughest word for me, but I also have Dan Quayle-esque nightmares about the plural of potato.
