In order to keep this decision from turning into a Lonnie Lopez ego trip, I suggest we just all promise to meet at Pine and Broadway if we're all really really excited or really really agitated.

Not knowing what a Lonnie Lopez may be, I hope Judge Walker's written a beautifully written, comprehensive opinion.

I <3 you Baconcat, too bad I'm in L.A. or I'd take you up on it.

P.S. I'm keeping EVERYTHING double crossed, even stuff that doesn't want to co-operate!

Does this mean Constitutional in terms of the California State Constitution or the US Constitution?

Also, won't this be decidered by the activist extreme right US Supreme Court, regardless?

@5: U.S. Constitution, and yes, this will almost definitely be going to the SCOTUS.

Yes, Walker is ruling based on the US Constitution. Next comes the 9th circuit court, then on to the US Supremes!

I haven't felt this optimistic in a long time...

Odd to release it through PACER instead of in court. I wonder why.

OF COURSE it violates our rights. I think we're gonna win this, and yet I'm still totally nervous.
