"These Are Their Stories": Law & Order Art

Posted by on Mon, Aug 2, 2010 at 11:35 AM

RADIATION KILLS A TORMENTED SCIENTIST
  • Lacy McCune, ink and gouache drawing, 2010
  • RADIATION KILLS A TORMENTED SCIENTIST

Have you seen "These Are Their Stories"?

Each piece is an artist's interpretation of a one-line episode summary from the DirecTV program guide... Like the series that inspired them, they are sometimes straightforward and sometimes offer a twist; sometimes they contain no easy answers, and sometimes they are just plain goofy.

It doesn't matter if you're a fan of Law & Order or not. Its pervasiveness is such that if you've glanced at a tv in the last twenty years, you can appreciate the pieces.

When I was in design school we had to use one-line descriptions from the TV guide to practice letterspacing. Good times.
