I continue to be amazed that NO ONE in the media seems to be able to understand how someone named "Al Green" could have gotten the vote. WTF?!? Is it really that hard???

Maybe if it had been "Bartholomew Manilow" on the ballot the white folks could get it...

This is among the most bizarre stories in recent memory. The more I read about it and see interviews with him, the stranger it gets.

Also, @1 pretty much has the exact right theory. I'm not sure it's more than that, but it's still really, really strange.
