We had Seattle's 11-term congressman here at The Stranger offices on Wednesday for a primary endorsement interview, and since the proposed downtown tunnel has been much on our minds lately, we decided to try to pin down exactly where he stands on that mega-issue.

Watch closely and you'll see Jim McDermott agree with Mayor Mike McGinn on cost overruns; dis Governor Christine Gregoire's "80s, 70s, 60s thinking"; and try valiantly to avoid offering his opinion on what, exactly, should be done downtown.

Did he succeed? More importantly: Are you impressed? Press play and let us know.
