The Cinema of Bear Gall Bladders

Posted by on Tue, Jul 6, 2010 at 10:49 PM

On Thursday, July 8th, at the Sorrento, the man played by this man in the movie Grassroots, will read from his second book, Memphis Del Mar; and I, a man who would like to be played by this man in any movie, will not only discuss cinema and the city of Seattle but also read from a script called Dynasty, which is about these animals...

...and the black market value of their gall bladders. The night will begin at 6:30 pm.

I have to say, Cedric the Entertainer as Richard McIver is the most marvelously WTF piece of casting for that Grassroots thing. Aside from that, it seems like a mighty effort may be needed to keep it from becoming another of those movies people try to be kind by calling "Altmanesque". My fingers are crossed for it, anyway.
