Lunchtime Quickie: Double Rainbows: WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

Posted by on Tue, Jul 6, 2010 at 12:01 PM

This is pretty much the best, unintentionally profound film about nature EVER MADE. I mean, what DOES it mean?

We get those all the time - saw one about a month ago here in Seattle.

It means you need more chocolate.

Saw this on HuffingtonPost earlier today. It was almost too weird to listen to (especially when he starts crying and asking "what does it mean"). I figure, the guy must be on 'shrooms.

They played this on MTV up here in Canada, but they had asked the permission of the guy who filmed it first, before airing it. He said they could play it, and that he was "not on drugs or having sex." ...The second part I can believe.

you know, it was really easy to be all cynical about it, but then I remembered I'm the one whose friends make fun of him for being all 'holy shit, look at that butterfly - it's so beautiful!'

I bet it was way brighter in real life, too.

This needs to be a common phrase for anything that is awesome.

"How was the show?"

"Aw man, Double Complete Rainbow!"

His YouTube profile is pretty fantastic, too. This guy is a big tenderhearted sweetie pie bear - who also does cage fighting!

This guy is having what my drawing teacher called "an aesthetic experience that takes a crew of janitors to clean up". Well played!

"Supernumerary rainbow" is the correct term here for anyone interested in the science beyond these drug induced tears and assigned meaning:
