Week in Review

Posted by on Fri, Jun 25, 2010 at 9:10 AM

The Diaz selection, a deluge of initiatives, and the mayor's decision to send more police into Belltown—we'll be talking about that business and more, today on Weekday.

That's 94.9 FM, starting at 10 a.m. Anything else we should be yapping about?

How about SDOT's plan to screw up Dexter Ave for bicyclists? They want to put the bikelanes BETWEEN the parked cars and the curb. So bikes will not even be able to move into the traffic lane to avoid getting doored. They must either hate bicyclists and/or think they only ride about 5 mph.

How about SDOT's plans to screw up Dexter Ave by putting the bike lanes between the parked cars and the curb? Their new design will guarantee that the doors will get you--no chance to move into the traffic lane to avoid them. They must either hate cyclists and/or think they only go 5mph.

slugbiker's right.

That said, I can tell you nothing will change, because we had to allow the Billionaires to get their Mercer Mess "fix" .. the one that INCREASES how long it will take them to get from I-5 to Seattle Center by 4 minutes.

Is it just me or is Joni Balter been off her game since Mcginn was elected? I appreciate the establishment point of view, but she comes off as incoherent.

Joni Balter should get a refund from her voice coach.

@5 yeah. it's kind of sad, really. she's so out of touch and she's not getting the kind of hardball that's being played in this city.
