Currently Hanging: Michael Alm, Jody Joldersma, and Zoë Williams

There's some zoological perversity on display over at Vermillion.

Zoë Williams's mutated trophy animals will not be making the walls of any hip restaurants anytime soon.

And Jody Joldersma's sculptures are where Calder's sweet circus, Ed Kienholz's grimy realism, and Katherine Dunn's great book Geek Love.

The show also includes hybrid creatures by Michael Alm, and it's up through July 3.

The natural history museum feeling of this exhibit of fine art sculpture is pleasing and insidiously disturbing. Thank you, Diana and artists for contradictory undercurrents.
