Joe Barton Would Like to Apologize To...

Posted by on Fri, Jun 18, 2010 at 10:32 AM

Slog commenter mistymar points us towards joebartonwouldliketoapologize.com, a site dedicated to Rep. Barton's idiotic apology to the BP chief for Obama's "shakedown."

A sampling:

Joe Barton would like to apologize to:

The Confederacy for taking all your slaves away. Totally a shakedown move on our part. Sorry.

Bernie Madoff for not investing more of his money and enabling him to break even.

Milli Vanilli. You guys totally deserve another Grammy.

England, again, for the War of 1812, and in particular, the battle of New Orleans. We should just have let you guys have North America. You obviously really wanted it.

Slovenia, for tying them in the second half of the World Cup match. Completely insensitive on our end to shakedown those two goals, and we deeply regret putting the ball in the net those three times and making you look bad. Let me make it up to you guys, I'll mail you some oil.

Awesome.

@2: there is an apology to England for tying them. (let the record show that Frizzelle, among others, was doing just that in the LiveSlog of the match).

I notice today in the Washington Post that Charles Krauthammer, another insane America-hating Republicant, wants us to apologize to BP and Britain.

Wow.
