Media / Religion Pat Robertson's Advice for Wives

If your husband has a wandering eye, don't nag and do what you can to make yourself pretty.
If only he'd issued this advice in time to help Elin Woods. Maybe she could've fixed up her hideous dog face and saved her family a bunch of trouble. (Thank you, Media Matters.)

Isn't it embarassing that this guy still broadcasts? I can see white haired old ladies nodding in agreement with every idiocy that passes his lips.

But what if the wandering husband is interested in a little male-on-male action?? What should the poor wife do then?

Problem is @3 that those white haired old ladies have been nodding in agreement with him for the past 30 years, so it's not like they're suddenly going to stop now.

I'll give Pat Robertson SOME credit. The guy just wants attention, and is looking for affirmation. But "make yourself as beautiful as you can and stop bugging him." Is horrible advice circa 1950s.
Knowing nothing about the couple ... I would almost say, that she probably needs to own up to the fact that his flirtatious style was what made her attracted to him in the first place, and well ... competition is sometimes the greatest aphrodisiac. Will he cheat? Eh ... probably not ... nothing in the letter struck me as overly fearful ... just mildly annoyed.

Considering Pat Robertson supported apartheid in South Africa, I'm sure his wisdom for Elin would contain some comment about not marrying a black man.
