Hugh Hefner: Playboy, Activist, and Rebel

This interesting documentary examines the career of Hugh Hefner from his early days creating Playboy and a totally new kind of publishing/broadcasting empire. It also looks at his fights against restrictive social mores, racism/segregation, and censorship. He was quite the pioneer of liberalism in the 1950s and onward. And the transformation of the women in the magazine from the early curvy beauties to the bleached, shaved, Franken-boobed mutants of today is amazing to watch.

You can read Kelly O's interview with Hugh Hefner here.

Hugh Hefner: Playboy, Activist, and Rebel plays again Wed June 9, 9:30 pm, Egyptian Theatre.

How can I have gotten this far without the word "Frankenboobs" in my vocabulary?

Thought I was reading an obituary there, for a second.
