Who is that woman at the beginning of the ad? Am I missing something?

I wonder if Carly is running for Senate (and not an executive position like Governor) because she was was a terrible CEO (she was named one of the 20 worst American CEOs of all time). Run for an executive position and she has to deal with "but you weren't effective in running your company, how can you run our state" criticism...

@2 Exactly my thought when I first heard that ad.

Carly Fiorina, like Shrub before her is the perfect proof that Republicans don't care how incompetent you are as long as you're rich.

@2 Dammit! You beat me to it!

Just what we need, more "Look a brown skin person who is going to hurt you" campaign. Damn scardy-cat bed-wetters.

Jesus, who does her hair? A former HP employee?

@13,

That's some amazing revisionist history right there.

Funny how we paid more for the Gadsden Purchase than for the entire Southwest. Couldn't have been because we were militarily occupying the latter at the time.

Fifty-Two-Eighty 15
Well, yeah, that could have had something to do with it. They probably wanted the money, too, though.

Carly Fiorina was fired from HP in part because she was a very difficult person to get along with and impossible to work for. Several members of the board of directors simply detested her. Is that what anybody thinks is needed in Washington? Oh wait.

@17 She does have one skill that will serve her well in Washington: self-promotion.

If Slog ever institutes a "comment of the week" system, I would vote for #2. I'm still amused...

Fiorina didn't exhibit an ounce of operational skills while at HP. She made promises she couldn't keep. Wall Street analysts stopped trusting her because HP constantly missed projections and missed them by a country mile. And this is someone people want in Washington?

Her memoir is a must-read. It's amazing how someone can have NO concept of their own mistakes.
