Prepping for the Exit Interview with Michael Darling

Posted by on Mon, Jun 7, 2010 at 11:58 AM

At 1:30 I'm going to interview Michael Darling, departing modern and contemporary curator (creator of Target Practice and Kurt), about the four years he's spent at Seattle Art Museum.

What do you want me to ask him?

What advice would he give to anyone trying to make a career out of curating or professional museum work in this economy?

What were the most important things he learned--and hadn't known previously--while at SAM?

What do Seattle museums (art and other types) need most to scrape by over the next five years?

If SAM was burning down and he could save one piece of art, what would it be?
