Al and Tipper Gore No More

Posted by on Tue, Jun 1, 2010 at 9:22 AM

Via Politico:

Al and Tipper Gore, whose playful romance enlivened Washington and the campaign trail for a quarter century, have decided to separate after 40 years of marriage, the couple told friends Tuesday.

In an “Email from Al and Tipper Gore,” the couple said: “We are announcing today that after a great deal of thought and discussion, we have decided to separate."

They described the decision as "mutual and mutually supportive."

Why? I mean, after forty years, why not ride it out? My bet is Al has himself a new squeeze.

It's odd to think that Raising PG Kids in X-Rated Society came out over 23 years ago.

Hey, thanks to global warming, Al is now rolling in money. He can afford someone a lot hotter than Tipper.

It makes me sad when old people break up.

Crap. now the wingnuts are going to get all hypocritical on us again. Newt- fine for 3 wives and by having an affair and divorcing one during a cancer battle. They will try to paint Gore as a bad guy for having a mutual ending of a marriage.

They will carry this hypocritical rant longer than the Edwards BS>

I never would have thought that the Gores would divorce before the Clintons.

Eli,
I thought it was joke at first when a friend of mine posted the news on Facebook. Alas, it's true. Yeah, I reckon after 40 years it appears quite sad. But, I don't know all the details. I hope they both fare well.
