Do You Like to Watch People Do Acting?

Posted by on Wed, May 19, 2010 at 9:17 AM

Then you will love the "acting reel"-packed website of Chicago's Sarantos Studios, featuring people doing monologues right to you:

Thank you for the heads up, Videogum, where Gabe highlights a number of truly dazzling Sarantos offerings, such as the clip reel of Linda Wisniewski.

And I haven't even addressed the archive of "Hilarious Improv Scenes"...

Ouch.

There's no way I'm going to look at these. I deal with people like this every day; people who have big dreams, but quite literally no talent. And I have to be blunt with them, tell them their chances of ever doing anything: on stage, on TV, on film - anywhere beyond a home-made YouTube video - are essentially zilch. It's depressing, because most of the time you simply can't deter them; they're convinced they've got "it", and nothing you can do or say will convince them otherwise.

In that regard, they're a lot like Fundies and Tea Baggers, which is even more depressing.

This subject line made me think of the Jon Lajoie video "I KILL PEOPLE" with it's line, "Old people burning, old people burning, put your hands up!"
